Brock Lesnar's WWE future beyond WrestleMania 31 is cloudy, but amid rumors that "The Beast" may return to UFC, there is a strong belief he will remain in wrestling.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there is a growing number of people who believe that the WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be remaining with the company by signing a new part-time deal after his current pact expires soon.

Lesnar has been under a part-time contract for the last couple of years, but there has been a lot of speculation that he was looking to return to the Octagon. Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, but he retired from the sport in 2011 due to a bout with diverticulitis.

UFC president Dana White has said his relationship with Lesnar is great and that the company would welcome him back with open arms should he choose to return. There were rumors a few months ago that Lesnar was working out and training hard for a possible UFC return.

It has since been rumored that "The Beast" was leaning toward staying with WWE since it is less taxing on his body and offers him a flexible schedule.

Lesnar has had a dominant year in the WWE as he ended The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX last year and went on to decimate John Cena at SummerSlam to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar has been champion since August, but he's only appeared at the Night of Champions event in September, the Royal Rumble spectacle in January and sporadic episodes of RAW due to the nature of his contract.

While Lesnar seemed as though he was gearing up for a return to the Octagon, several people believe he'll re-sign with the WWE.

Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross also said he heard from sources that "The Beast" will stick around on his blog at Jrsbarbq.com.

"Sources are saying that it looks more promising that Brock Lesnar could well stay with WWE past WrestleMania due to concerns over long term health [effects] of competing in MMA specifically concussion oriented issues later in one's life," Ross wrote.

He continued: "Again, these are 'sources' and how reliable they are can only be judged after WM31 and following the status of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. One thing is certain, if UFC believes, and rightfully so in my view, that CM Punk will sell PPV's for at least his first two fights then what would a healthy Brock Lesnar mean to the UFC brand in a time where no combat sport company has a plethora of bona fide star power that can move the needle on the pay per view business."

Lesnar is expected to drop the WWE World Heavyweight Championship -- likely to Roman Reigns - at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.
