Not everyone was happy with the Yankees' announcement that they'd be honoring Andy Pettitte in 2015.

The team is planning on retiring Pettitte's number 46 uniform to Monument Park this season, alongside his teammates Jorge Posada and Bernie Williams.

Yankees Will Be Honoring Andy Pettitte, Other Legends in 2015

On the surface, retiring Pettitte's number seems like a no-brainer. He was a three-time All Star, a Cy Young runner up, a five time World Series champion, and among the Yankees' all time leaders in starts, wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched.

However, there is one black mark on Pettitte's resume. In 2008 Pettitte admitted to fans and reporters that he had briefly used HGH during his time with the Houston Astros, to fast forward his return from an arm injury.

Pettitte's forthrightness in admitting guilt and his general likeable demeanor made fans and media pundits forgive Pettitte's supposed transgression much quicker than they have other steroid users in baseball -- so much so that it's now rarely even mentioned as a part of his legacy to begin with.

But one of Pettitte's former teammates, second baseman Chuck Knoblauch, wasn't keen to let that past incident of "cheating" slip under the radar. Instead, he took to Twitter to toss some serious shade.

Knoblauch isn't wrong in bringing up an incident that is undeniably part of Pettitte's past. But, again, Pettitte is so beloved by Yankee fans that it's unlikely any of them cares.
