The Seattle Mariners (29-38) and Oakland Athletics (41-27) will open their weekend series at O. co Coliseum with a Friday night matchup set for 10:05 p.m. ET. The game will stream live on MLB.com with a paid subscription.

The A's are coming off a three-game winning streak, which was capped off by a 3-2 18-inning win over the New York Yankees. Nate Freiman hit the game-winning single off of Mariano Rivera to give Oakland the series sweep over New York.

"It was very taxing even winning the game. To lose could have been demoralizing," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "These are awful games to lose."

Oakland has won 21 of 26 and haved passed the Rangers for first place in the AL West. They currently hold a 21-10 record at home and are riding an 11-game home winning streak, the longest since Sept. 14 during the famous "Moneyball" season of 2002.

The A's will hope some of this home success rubs off on starting pitcher Tommy Milone (6-5). Milone is making his first start at home since May 18 and is 3-0 with a 3.66 ERA during his last five starts. He enters the Friday night matchup with a 3.69 ERA for the season.

Milone is 3-2 at home with a 2.43 ERA and 1-1 against Seattle with a 5.25 ERA this season. His lone victory against the Mariners came on April 3 despite allowing two solo home runs in a 6-2 win.

He will face Joe Saunders (4-6) who enters with a 5.12 ERA. Saunders is coming off a 6.1 inning performance in which he allowed three earned runs in a loss to the New York Yankees.
