The Boston Red Sox (41-26) and Baltimore Orioles (37-29) will meet for an AL East matchup on Thursday night at Oriole Park in Camden Yards. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET and will air live on mlb.com with a paid subscription.

Boston looks to add to their division lead with Thursday's game. The Orioles, however, look to gain some ground on the division leading Red Sox.

Baltimore, New York and Tampa Bay are all within five games of the top spot in the division. Currently in third, Baltimore trails Boston by just 3 ½ games.

The Red Sox have hit for a .303 average, 24 home runs and scored an average of 6.3 runs during a stretch that has seen them go 13-6. Over the past two games, Boston have scored five runs off of 13 hits.

Mike Carp has played a major role in the Red Sox recent success. Over the past seven games, Carp has gone 12 for 25 with a .480 average and hit three home runs and eight RBIs. He is currently hitting a .330 average on the season and is 3-for-16 over the course of his six career games against Baltimore.

Felix Doubront (4-3) will hope to see the Boston offense continue their roll when he takes the mound. The lefty went six innings and allowed three earned runs in a losing effort against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Orioles will answer with Kevin Gausman (0-3), who will look to capture his first win of the season. Gausman currently has a 8.84 ERA and is coming off a 4.1 inning losing effort in which he allowed seven runs.
