Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers (23-22-8, 54 points) and Montreal Canadiens (34-15-3, 71 points) take the ice at the Bell Centre in Montreal for the third and final meeting against each other this season.

Philadelphia has won two of its last three games and plays the second contest of a four-match road trip while Montreal has won two games in a row and kicks off a three-match homestand.

The Canadiens enter play in second place in the Atlantic Division while the Flyers are nine points behind the Boston Bruins for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Montreal has gotten the best of Philadelphia this season, winning 4-3 in a shootout on Oct. 11 and then again with a 6-3 triumph on Nov. 15.

The Flyers enter play on the back of a 3-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Sunday and realize that every win is important this time of year.

"We have big faith in our dressing room that we can make this push," Philadelphia forward Wayne Simmonds said per NHL.com. "We didn't start off the season the way we wanted to. We've been flirting with .500 the whole year, but we've been playing our best hockey lately and that's what you want. So we've just got to continue to play good hockey, and hopefully the cards fall our way and we win our hockey games."

Simmonds leads Philadelphia with 19 goals and is fourth on the team with 33 points. They Flyers offense has run through Hart Trophy candidate Jakub Voracek and captain Claude Giroux.

Voracek paces the NHL in assists (41) and is tied for the league lead in points (59) while Giroux is third in the NHL in helpers (38) and second on the team in points (54).

The Canadiens are coming off of a 3-1 triumph over the rival Bruins on Sunday and will try for their third straight win.

One thing the Habs have attributed to their success lately is discipline.

"It's something that I think we're just aware of, that you can't win if you're an undisciplined team, especially us," Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher said. "We're a team that likes to roll four lines and get everyone involved, and when you're taking too many penalties it takes a lot of the guys out of the game, so for us to stay disciplined has been big for us. It helps us kind of keep the push on and gain momentum, and we've been able to do that of late and hopefully it continues."

Montreal has been paced by Max Pacioretty, who leads the team with 45 points and is second in the NHL with a plus-28 rating. P.K. Subban is second on the Canadiens with 36 points off of 11 goals and 25 assists while Tomas Plekanec has 15 tallies and 25 helpers for 35 points.

In the crease, Montreal is slated to turn to Carey Price and he is first in the NHL in save percentage (.932) and second in wins (29, tied) and goals-against average (2.03).

With Steve Mason (lower-body) sidelined, Philadelphia is slated to counter with Ray Emery in between the pipes and he is 9-9-1 with a 3.34 GAA and a .886 save percentage.

The Flyers and Canadiens meet for the final time this season when the lights come up live tonight from the Bell Centre in Montreal.
