The Denver Broncos lost the Super Bowl following a brilliant 2013 season, and they were eliminated after earning the two seed in the playoffs after 2014. The team is clearly pushing for a championship in the near future, but could they make that push this coming season without their Hall of Fame quarterback?

Manning's Future Riding On February Workouts?

Peyton Manning played the last month of the season this past year with a torn quadriceps, and he was nondescript about his future following Denver's playoff loss. However, he has reportedly started working out again and is thinking of a return for another season if he feels that he can still play at a high level.

But will he be in Denver? According to Bleacher Report, John Elway and the Broncos' brass are still on the fence about Manning returning for 2015.

"At this point in his career, the Broncos could fail Peyton Manning for any reason, including the four neck surgeries that he has already had," Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reported Tuesday. "In talking to sources close to the team, there's a big question here about whether the Broncos want to bring him back for one more year. They're going to have to feel very comfortable about this."

"John Elway said at his end of the year press conference that he thinks Manning has one more year left," Cole added. "He's probably going to stand by that, but I will say this - it is probably only one more year."

Despite finishing the year on a down note, Manning still compiled excellent stats, but the team was forced to shift its entire offensive identity on the fly after Manning suffered his injury. If the team thinks Manning may not stay healthy, they may elect to fail him on his physical and move forward without Manning's giant salary on the books.
