It appears WWE CEO Vince McMahon may be set to add Daniel Bryan to the main event of WrestleMania 31 by making it a Triple Threat Match with Roman Reigns and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

According to The Wrestling Observer, McMahon is currently thinking about adding Bryan to the bout to make it a Triple Threat Match, similar to last year when he defeated Randy Orton and Batista at WrestleMania XXX.

Per the report, McMahon made the decision based on crowd reactions and it could lead to a screwy finish at Fast Lane when Reigns and Bryan go one-on-one on Feb. 22 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

The winner of that match is set to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.

The crowd completely turned on the Royal Rumble Match last month after Bryan was eliminated early and Reigns went on to win from the 19th draw.

It is said that McMahon has heard the reactions and may add Bryan to the WrestleMania main event to add more intrigue to the bout. The previous rumors were that the WWE wouldn't do another Triple Threat Match since they did it last year.

Adding Bryan to the bout only to have him lose would be a dicey proposition for the WWE as it will likely lead to a chorus of boos if Reigns wins, though Seth Rollins is lurking with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

The original plans called for Reigns to face and defeat Lesnar in a one-on-one bout while Bryan was likely to battle Dolph Ziggler based on their Twitter campaign for a match.

Last year, when the crowd wasn't getting behind Batista -- who won the 2014 Rumble Match -- McMahon opted to have Bryan defeat Triple H in the opening match and walk out of New Orleans as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion due to the groundswell of support for him.

Bryan still has his detractors backstage, but it appears he may be added to the main event again this year.

Bryan never lost the title as a neck injury sidelined him and caused him to miss all of 2014 before he returned last month.

Though Bryan may be added to the match, it doesn't mean that he will necessarily win it as there have been plans in place to have Reigns become the next big star by taking out Lesnar and ending his dominant reign.

While things could change between now and Fast Lane, it appears as though Bryan vs. Lesnar vs. Reigns may be headlining WrestleMania 31 next month.
