Zimbabwe was hoping to shake off some cobwebs after a two-and-a-half month hiatus from international play in their opening World Cup warm-up match on Monday, but rain halted their showdown versus New Zealand before it could truly get going. Now they'll have a second chance on Wednesday against Sri Lanka.
The Lions need a win in the worst way, for their own confidence if nothing else. After being thoroughly trounced by the Kiwis in a seven game ODI series, Sri Lanka opened up their own preliminary World Cup warm-up slate with a five wicket loss to South Africa's Proteas.
