Two nations looking to return to form will do battle today in an international friendly between the United States and Panama. The match scheduled for 4 p.m. ET will be held at the StubHub Center in Carson, California and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on ESPN and UniMas.
What They're Saying
United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann (via ESPN FC): "Some [of my players] were very well prepared, but in a team, you're only as good as your worst player. Whoever was not prepared brings down the level and then it's a chain reaction throughout the whole group. This camp was never seen as a preseason camp, but these players may be looking at it like preseason changed the dynamic. What I kind of wanted to bring across is: If part of the group is not prepared physically for international games, the whole team will suffer."
Panama goalkeeper Jaime Penedo (via MLSsoccer.com): "We know that the U.S. is one of the big competitors in the region. For us, the U.S. has always been one of the most complete teams. It's going to be a hard game. We don't have all of our [first-choice] players, and the U.S. has a lot of players playing in MLS. But we have enough to make it a big game."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: The U.S. isn't the only team stocked with MLS talent. Panama's Blas Perez made 32 appearances for FC Dallas in 2014, finishing with 11 goals and five assists.
USA's Projected Lineup (4-3-2-1): Johnson; Shea, Hedges, Jones, Yedlin; Mix, Bradley, Trapp; Nguyen, Dempsey; Altidore
Panama's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Penedo; Parris, Escobar, Cummings, Ovalle; Sanchez, Stephens, Godoy, Davis; Perez, Blackburn
