Rapper 50 Cent is known for doing many things well. He has made himself into a successful businessman following his rap career, and he has gotten involved in some pretty smart investments. However, one thing that he may never live down is an athletic failing on a grand stage.
Last season, 50 Cent was at a New York Mets game in May to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. While he certainly attempted to throw out the first pitch, it may not actually qualify as a throw. It was, to put it charitably, awful.
In fairness to 50 Cent, this happens a few times a season; some celebrity will throw out a first pitch, and it will be nothing short of horrendous. But unlike most of the other terrible first pitchers, 50 Cent looks like an athletic guy. It is one thing for Mariah Carey to throw a terrible first pitch while wearing heels; it is another thing entirely for 50 Cent to do it.

Naturally, the throw sparked a debate about whether or not it was the worst first pitch of all time. While that is obviously a subjective characterization, one thing is certain: it is definitely the first time that an awful first pitch spawned its own baseball card.
You read that correctly. Topps is making a 2015 baseball card to commemorate 50 Cent and his horrible pitch attempt.
So far, there is no word on whether Topps will start doing this with every terrible first pitch, but it looks like 50 Cent can add another first to his resume.
