Barry Mayo isn't your typical 69-year-old.
Mayo, a Florida native, enjoys participating in motocross and is very much young at heart.
"The guys in my class are no competition," Mayo told Wink News, which first reported the story. "I hate to say that but people over [their] 60s usually don't do this and when they do, they just kind of put around the track."
The site reports that Mayo, who is approaching 70, rides dirt bikes and competes in about 40 races a year. Mayo sometimes races against people that are 50 years younger than him, who he admits believe he may be out of his mind.
"They just think I'm crazy, how do I do it?" Mayo told the affiliate.

Mayo admitted that the sport has its dangers, but also added that he's in great health.
"Tons of injuries," Mayo said, "all kinds of broken bones and pins and nuts and bolts. I'm in better shape than all of them. I'm in better shape than all of my kids. It's, like, ridiculous."
While some may think Mayo is crazy for taking such big risks, he has influenced other people his age to do the same.
"He's inspired me," Kurt Traulsen, another older rider, told the affiliate. "I didn't know how much longer I could ride. I figured I have to hold the candle at least as long as he does."
Mayo is a very disciplined eater and a strict vegan, which helps him look, feel and act young.
Mayo was born on Dec. 14, 1945, and in 2015 he is still young at heart.
