Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman told ESPN that it seems as though the team has a problem with performance-enhancing drugs. Seattle has had five players serve suspensions since 2011.

Sherman was no exception to this classification. The standout cornerback was suspended last season for allegedly using Adderall, which was overturned after a December appeal.

When asked directly whether the team has a PED problem, Sherman responded by saying, "it does seem that way." He added, "It is what it is."

The cornerback continued his denial of ever using Adderall in the interview for ESPN The Magazine's latest issue.

"Nope. Didn't take it at all," he said. "The question only remains for people who want the question to remain."

Defensive end Bruce Irvin was the latest Seattle player to be suspended for using performance enhancing drugs last month when he received a suspension for the first four games of the 2013 season. John Moffitt, Allen Barbre, Winston Guy and Brandon Browner have all received suspensions.

Barbre was released by the team, however, all the other players mentioned are still active on the Seahawks roster. Sherman was the only player to successfully have their suspension overturned following an appeal.

Safety Kam Chancellor told SiriusXM last month that the veteran players held a meeting following Irvin's suspension to let the team know it was time for a change.

"We have to grow up and move past that," Chancellor said. "That's pretty much the message right now, growing up and not making the same mistakes over and over."
