The Los Angeles Angels (27-36) and Baltimore Orioles (35-28) will open up their series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Monday at 7:05 p.m. ET. The game will air live on mlb.com with a paid subscription.
Angels ace Jered Weaver (1-1) looks to continue his dominant form since returning from the disabled list. He has gone 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in two starts since recovering from a fractured left elbow injury.
Weaver allowed one unearned run in six innings of a 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.
"(Weaver has) pitched very well and gave us a chance to score some runs and come out with a win," first baseman Albert Pujols said.
The right-hander pitched to a no decision in his last start against the Cubs. However, he's had extremely dominant success in his past matchups with Baltimore.
Weaver is 4-0 with a 1.82 ERA in his last four matchups against the Orioles, yielding three hits over eight innings in his most recent appearance in a 3-0 victory on July 7.
Baltimore have won 12 of 19, including a 10-8 road win over Tampa Bay on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep, and also six of seven at home. The Orioles led 9-1 after the top of the fourth inning in the Rays' comeback win.
Freddy Garcia (2-3) will look to continue the Orioles recent success. He currently has a 4.70 ERA and is looking to bounce back from a disappointing perfomance against Houston in which he allowed six earned runs over three innings pitched.
