Chad Johnson Domestic Abuse Case: Former NFL Star Sentenced To 30 Days After Angering Judge

Chad Johnson will spend 30 days in jail for a probation violation after his antics in a Florida court room so angered the judge she disregarded an earlier request for no jail time made by his attorney’s and rendered her stunning verdict.

As he faced Broward County Judge Kathleen McHugh, Johnson jokingly slapped his male attorney on the rear end, instantly drawing the judge’s ire and being ordered to leave the court room.

The judge later chastised Johnson for not taking matters seriously enough and rendered her verdict. Johnson was in court after violating his probation by not making scheduled visits to his probation officers or showing proof he had completed a court mandated anger management class.

The former NFL star was placed on probation last year stemming from a domestic abuse case involving his ex-wife and reality TV star Evelyn Lozada.

After realizing he had gotten on the judge’s bad side, Johnson and his attorneys returned to her court room and feverishly pleaded with her to honor the original no jail time proposal put forth by his attorneys.

TMZ reported Johnson pleaded with the judge "I had no intent to make this a joke, because my life is in shambles right now."
