Brett Favre Packers ESPN Interview [VIDEO]: End With Packers My Fault, Reunion Tour In Motion

Start counting down the days until the Brett Favre show returns to Lambeau Field.

After declining to publicly talk about his former team since 2007, Favre told ESPN this week he now blames himself for their messy split.

"It's over and done with. I was at fault," Favre told ESPN.  "I feel that both sides had a part in it. If you could go back, would I or them have done things differently? I'm sure both sides would. But you can't."

During the interview, Favre also admitted he’s not open to the possibility of returning to Lambeau and the organization for a retirement day ceremony.

"I don't know of any player who would not want that to happen," Favre added during the interview. "I'm honored just by the thought. Obviously there was, if you want to call it, 'bad blood' or whatever. I just think that people started picking sides. And really I'm over that and have been over it."

Favre’s last few seasons in Green Bay were marred by his regular habit of contemplating retirement each off season. Finally in 2007, he made good on his bluffs, albeit briefly, and the team quickly rallied around successor Aaron Rodgers.

Favre unretired in July 2008, and returned to training camp, setting up both a battle and rift with Rodgers. The Packers eventually moved to trade their once beloved quarterback to the New York Jets.

But this week, all that acrimony seemed forgotten as Packers president Mark Murphy also told ESPN  he wanted Favre "back in the family."
