The New York Yankees look to add to their four-game winning streak as they continue their weekend series against the Seattle Mariners on Friday night at Safeco Field. The first pitch is set for 10:10 p.m. ET and will air live on ROOT Sports and MLB.com with a paid subscription.

The return of Mark Teixeira has played a major role in the Bombers' recent success. The slugger looks to continue his power surge and help New York match their longest winning streak of the season Friday night.

The Yankees have won four in a row after dropping seven of eight, a slump during which they managed 15 runs and three homers.

The resurgent offense has sparked the winning streak, as the Yankees have batted .273 - 26 points above their season average. They've hit six home runs in that stretch, with five sparking at least one inning of four or more runs in each contest.

The big inning inning in the opener of this four-game set was the third, when Teixeira hit a solo home run to follow up Robinson Cano's three-run shot in a six-run outburst en route to a 6-1 victory.

"That was a great inning," Cano said. "The whole lineup hit in that inning and that's what you want. You want to take advantage when you've got runners in scoring position. We got shut out after that but at least we scored early."

The Yankees will start right-hander Hiroki Kuroda (6-4) who is coming off a rain-shortened 3-0 loss to Boston on Sunday in which he allowed three runs and two homers in 5 1/3 innings.

He will face Jeremy Bonderman (0-1). Bonderman has struggled in his only start this season in which he allowed seven runs and three homers in 4 2/3 innings of a 10-0 loss at Minnesota on Sunday. This marked his first appearance since an eight-year stint with Detroit ended in 2010.
