Trent Richardson's once-promising NFL career just keeps getting worse. The former Alabama star was traded away from the team that drafted him, which was actually one of the best personnel moves the Browns have made in recent history. Richardson hoped things would get better in Indianapolis, but that has not been the case.
Rodgers, Munn Appearing In Rom-Com Together?
Richardson has not just struggled since coming to Indianapolis - he has been abysmal. The Colts increasingly appear to have gotten fleeced by giving up a first round draft pick to acquire Richardson, and it will not be a surprise if the team moves on from him at some point.
Richardson was inactive for several games down the stretch, including Indianapolis's playoff games. Richardson had claimed that he was inactive due to family reasons, but it later was revealed that he had actually been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

Of course, it still gets worse.
I've confirmed that Trent Richardson's suspension for conduct detrimental voids the guarantees of his $3,184,062 2015 base salary.

With the guaranteed portion of his contract voided, the Colts can cut Richardson without having hardly any dead money on their salary cap for 2015. It creates the perfect opportunity for the team to move on from a disappointing player, and it gives them some extra cap room to spend in free agency or on extending current players.
It is unknown whether the team had this in mind from the time that they suspended the running back, but it is certainly working out for them.
