The former UFC middleweight champion shattered it during a December 2013 fight against Chris Weidman. The gravity of the injury led Silva to take a lengthy sabbatical and undergo a grueling rehab regiment.

14 months later, the leg seems fully healed, and Silva is ready to try it out in Saturday's match. However, he bristled when asked about its condition by reporters this week.

“This is the question all the people ask,” he said, per MMA Junkie. “I see it, but I don’t want to talk more about this, because it’s done. New Anderson.”

Silva's opponent, Nick Diaz, has told the press that he isn't planning on targeting Silva's surgically-repaired leg during UFC 183. Diaz is a former Strikeforce champ who's just 7-6 career in Ultimate Fighting.

Silva is expected to receive a shot at his former UFC middleweight belt should he win this match Saturday.
