England pulled out a nine wicket win on Tuesday over India to avoid the dreaded 0-2 hole in this year's Carlton Tri-Series. They now head to Sydney to face the host nation Baggy Greens, who already have a three wicket win over them in this tournament.

With less than a month to go until the Cricket World Cup, it's hard not to imagine Australia as perhaps the top contender for the crown. Not only are the deep in all departments and clicking on all cylinders in their recent tune-up matches, but they'll have the considerable advantage of being the host nation for the tournament.

Winning this month's Carlton Tri-Series would be a nice distinction, given the quality of their opponents in England and India. However, the Australians have something much larger to target right now.
