Triple H vs. Sting certainly appears to be a lock for WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.
Mick Foley Calls For Daniel Bryan To Win The 2015 Rumble Match
"The Game" sat down with Michael Cole for his weekly storyline interview and discussed Sting showing up on Monday Night RAW to aid John Cena after helping Cena's team win at November's Survivor Series.
"Sting right? That's all I hear from everybody now," Triple H told Cole. "All of a sudden, Sting is on top of everybody's mind. Second time he sticks his nose in my business. Is it just me or can John Cena or anybody associated with him not win anything on their own? They always have to have somebody helping them. That's starting to be a problem for me. Sting is starting to be a problem for me."
He continued: "The second time now. First time, I kinda let it go you know it was him trying to make a name for himself. Trying to put himself on the map, a place he'd never been before and reinvigorate himself. But now, this time's on me and I don't make a lot of mistakes...I damn sure don't make the same one twice. Sting wants to make a name for himself by coming after me? He's gonna make the biggest mistake he's ever made in his life. He wants to know why he was never here in the WWE, you're looking at the reason why. He's going to find out why. And he's gonna find out why the next time he sticks his nose in my business, it will be the last thing he ever does."
Sting aiding Cena to victory kept the "Cenation" leader in the Triple Threat Match against Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble on Sunday and also assured that "fired" stars Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan would return.
"They return to SmackDown this Thursday night," Triple H said. "It's funny you say I fired them, I mean I kinda did, but actually kinda John Cena fired them. But they will be back Thursday and after all a deal is a deal and unlike John Cena, I keep my promises...They will be back, they will get what they deserve."
Triple H also delved into the Triple Threat Match with Lesnar, Rollins and Cena this Sunday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
"[Lesnar] seemed nervous to me," he said. "Brock Lesnar's a guy who doesn't fight for free. He was ready to fight. He was ready to attack Seth Rollins, was ready to go at him...seems nervous. I've never seen Brock like that before...Somebody's gotten under his skin, I don't think it's John Cena he's handled that. I think it's Seth Rollins. It's tough to see the future coming at you."
Triple H also touched on the 30-man Royal Rumble Match on Sunday night.
"It puts you on the path of destiny, of knowing where you're going, the main event of WrestleMania," he said. "It doesn't get any bigger than that. You get the moment. You are guaranteed the moment and then all you've gotta to do is deliver. It sets you up in a way you will never imagine. You think winning it will change your life and it means more than you can ever think it will."
Lastly, "The Game" was asked to pick a winner of the 28th annual 30-man elimination bout.
"That's the funny thing about the Royal Rumble," he said. "30 people in it, 30 men all fighting for the same thing. You can't really tell...You never know until the very end. Every man for himself and everybody can talk all of the trash they want, but until it's over it is still every man for himself...I could tell you this, I have seen the future and it's bright...bright indeed."
