Caroline Wozniacki is only 24 years old. In any other capacity, she would be a young woman just barely entering her prime years of her life. If you ask Wozniacki herself, however, she'll tell you she's a dinosaur.

The tennis star and former world no. 1 is down in Melbourne competing in this year's Australian Open, and felt the urge to comment on just how old the 2015 competition is making her feel.

"So many young players at this years @australianopen, guys and girls born in 94, 95, 96.. Makes me feel old," Wozniacki tweeted on Tuesday.

Wozniacki reiterated her comments in a recent interview, when asked if she considered herself "a generation above" the current crop of tennis players.

I'm 24 now, so I'm extremely old," Wozniacki said with a smile, via the Australian Open's official website. "I wouldn't go that far to say I'm a generation above. I think that's stretching it a little bit. I've been on tour for a few years now, I've been here quite a few times. I definitely like I've gotten experience. It's nice to be back, kind of knowing what to expect."

Wozniacki's next match is against another former world no. 1, Victoria Azarenka. If Wozniacki considers herself "extremely old" at 24, then god help the 25-year-old Azarenka -- she could have one foot in the grave for all we know.
