The Chicago Bulls are playing pretty well this season despite some ongoing injury issues to key players, but the team has hit a rough patch recently, dropping six of its last eight games. The team just lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and afterward, some team members had some strong words for the squad.

Recent Win Streak Saved Blatt's Job?

The Cavaliers defeated the Bulls 108-94, continuing a run of recent strong play for Cleveland. They currently sit in fifth in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls, meanwhile, are in fourth, but they have grander aspirations than finishing in the middle of the pack.

The Bulls were playing once again without star center Joakim Noah, but head coach Tom Thibodeau is not one to use such things as an excuse. "We've got to decide when enough is enough," a disgusted Thibodeau said, according to Fox Sports. "We've got to get better. It's really that simple. The way we're playing is not acceptable, so we have to change it."

The game was never particularly close, and the Cavs led by as much as 23 at one point. Derrick Rose echoed his coach's sentiments after the game. "If we don't have that edge, we're going to continue to get our butt whupped," said Rose. "Basketball should be fun. It seems like we're overthinking."

Rose did not play in the fourth quarter, as the team elected to rest him rather than use him in a game that was already decided.

"We're halfway through the season," Thibodeau said. "Somehow the notion that it's OK, we'll be all right -- no, no, it doesn't work like that. This is what we have. It's on us to figure it out. No one's coming in to save the day. We've got to find the answer."
