Dustin Johnson spent the last few years working his way into the upper echelon of professional golf. This season, he took a step backward, and he has not played professionally in several months amid rumors that he has been serving a suspension for testing positive for cocaine.

According to TMZ, Johnson insists that he does not have a coke problem, but he does admit that he has abused alcohol in the past. During a recent interview, Johnson was specifically asked about his cocaine use. "I did not have a problem," he replied. "It's just something I'm not going to get into. I have issues. But that's not the issue."

Johnson has said that he thinks alcohol may have been a problem, and he adds that he has cut back on his drinking. "I don't miss waking up with a hangover, and I didn't drink very often" he said. "It was just when I did it was a little too much."

Johnson says he even had a $1,000 bet with future father-in-law Wayne Gretzky and eight other friends about who could go into January without drinking any alcohol. Johnson also adds that he never went to rehab. He does, however, admit that he hired some experts to help him deal with his issues, including a life coach.

Johnson is engaged to Paulina Gretzky, the daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. The couple is expecting a child together that should be born any time now, as her due date was in January. Johnson plans on making his return to the PGA tour sometime in February, depending on exactly when the baby is born.
