It's official. Marcus Mariota is headed to the NFL.

In a unsurprising piece of new, the Oregon Ducks quarterback and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner informed sources of his intention to forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the draft on Wednesday afternoon.

Mariota had a dream season in 2014, leading the Ducks to a 13-2 record and a national championship game appearance while throwing for 4400+ yards, 42 touchdowns, and just 4 interceptions. However, Mariota struggled in the national championship, and the Ducks were blown out by Ohio State, 42-20.

Nevertheless, Mariota is still highly regarded by NFL scouts. Declaring for the draft was a no-brainer. The Buccaneers, Titans, Redskins, and Jets, among other teams, are all said to be considering a quarterback in the first round this April.
