After Hope Solo's named was dragged through the mud last summer, the verdict in her domestic assault case left her clean.
The Seattle Times reported that a Kirkland Municipal Court judge dismissed misdemeanor (fourth degree) domestic assault charges against the Seattle Reign and U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper on Tuesday.
In June, police responded to a 911 call in which a man said that a woman would not stop "hitting people" or leave the house, according to a police report. Solo appeared "intoxicated and upset," her nephew and half-sister had visible injuries, and police surmised that she was the "primary aggressor" and had instigated the assaut."
According to the Times, Solo's lawyer, Todd Maybrown, successfully argued on Tuesday that Solo's nephew and half-sister refused to be deposed. They accused Solo of assaulting them at a family gathering in June but refused to answer relevant questions about the incident and "skirted their depositions."

Maybrown, who said his client was being "framed" after the incident was reported, reiterated that the charges never should have been filed.
Meanwhile, Solo went on her Facebook account to show gratitude about the outcome of her family ordeal.
"Today's decision brings closure to what has been one of the most difficult and emotionally draining times of my life. I always had faith that once the facts of the case were presented, I would be cleared of all charges and I am so happy and relieved to finally have it all behind me.
"I would like to thank my legal team, the U.S. Soccer Federation, my coaches and teammates on the U.S. National Team, and the Seattle Reign organization, all of whom, under great pressure to do otherwise, chose to stand by and believe in me.
"I am so grateful for the support of my husband Jerramy, my mother, grandmother and members of my extended family who surrounded me with love and reassurance each and every day. I would also like to thank my incredible fans who consistently sent positive, heartfelt messages of encouragement and kept my spirits lifted throughout this entire ordeal. I look forward to joining my team with a clear mind to train, compete, and help bring a World Cup title to the U.S. in 2015."
An exonerated Solo is expected to start for the U.S. team in the World Cup this summer.
