Terrell Owens is an excellent example of how being a 'distraction' in the NFL does not matter so long as you produce results.

Owens was a mercurial and often bombastically outspoken player who clashed with quarterbacks, coaches, and the media alike throughout his 16 years in the league. However, he was also one of the greatest receivers of all time. As long as he was finding the end zone, teams were willing to put up with all of his antics.

Jameis Winston Declares for the NFL Draft

TMZ Sports recently asked Terrell Owens about whether he thinks Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston can hack it in the NFL, and Owens speaks with the kind of authority of an ex-player who know what it's like to perform under a microscope.

Owens said that Winston definitely has "the measurables" to succeed on the next level, but added that he just has to "keep his nose clean" in the process. Tellingly, Owens cited the struggles of Cleveland Browns rookie Johnny Manziel, saying they should serve as a warning to Winston to "learn from [them]," and not make the same mistakes.

Owens also spoke about his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, and their then-upcoming game versus the Green Bay Packers. Dallas ultimately lost that game, 26-21.
