Dallas is coming off of a regular season where it won the NFC East for the first time since 2009 and will look to build on last week's controversial 24-20 victory over the Detroit Lions on Wild-Card Weekend.

Green Bay, meanwhile, clinched a bye for Wild-Card Weekend and will come into play well-rested after closing out the 2014 slate with a 12-4 record that clinched the NFC North.

The Packers are looking to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since they won the Super Bowl in 2010 while the Cowboys are trying to get back for the first time since hoisting the Lombardi Trophy last in 1995.

47 years have passed since these two franchises played in the infamous "Ice Bowl" in 1947 and though the temperatures will not be as bad as the minus-13 that they hit on that day in 1967, it will still be a cold afternoon at Lambeau Field.

The Cowboys have topped the Packers in the last five playoff meetings between these teams while the Packers have won the last three regular season clashes.

The main storyline will be whether Aaron Rodgers partially torn calf will hinder him at all as the signal caller likes to use his legs when he needs to and may be hampered with the injury.

Regardless, Rodgers insists he will be playing this afternoon.

"No, I'm going Sunday," Rodgers told ESPN earlier this week. "Just a matter of how."

While Rodgers mobility may be an issue, Green Bay still boasts second-year running back Eddie Lacy, who rushed for a team-best 1,139 yards on 246 carries and reache the end zone nine times in the regular season.

Dallas counters with a strong running game of its own as it's strong offensive line play has contributed to running back DeMarco Murray's successful season. Murray led the NFL in rushing yards (1,845), rushing attempts (392), touchdowns on the ground (13) and rushing yards per game (115.3) this season.

Though Rodgers may be limited in movement, he has plenty of weapons through the air, including Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, who led the Packers with 1,519 receiving yards on 98 catches and reached the end zone 13 times.

The Cowboys will counter Rodgers with quarterback Tony Romo, who has proved a lot of critics wrong by putting up great numbers this season and not following the usual script by shaking off his December demons and leading Dallas into meaningful football in January.

"I think people appreciate Tony as having the skills that he has," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said via ESPN. "I hope [critics] see that he's made some pretty impressive plays and had big games. The only thing that will ever get them off his back totally would be to get that Super Bowl win."

Romo and the Cowboys have not only been bolstered by their ground game, but also by Dez Bryantthrough the air.

Bryant had an NFL-best 16 touchdowns this season while pacing Dallas with 1,320 receiving yards and hauling in 88 catches.

A trip to the NFC Championship Game hangs in the balance when the Cowboys and Packers go head-to-head live this afternoon from Lambeau Stadium in Green Bay.
