A Philadelphia Eagles linebacker is going to prom. Emmanuel Acho has agreed to take a Philadelphia Eagles fan to her prom after she successfully completed the challenge that he set forth for her on social media.

According to Bleacher Report, the young fan sent Acho a direct message on Instagram asking if he would go to prom with her if she got 2,000 retweets on Twitter. The linebacker countered by saying that he would go if she got 10,000.

Acho told the girl that she had one week to complete her request while he was in Hong Kong. In reality, it took only a few hours for her to clear 10,000 retweets.

To his credit, Acho is standing by his word.

It is undoubtedly not the way that Acho saw his offseason beginning. On the bright side, it may take Acho's mind off of the happenings within the Eagles organization. There have been several reports of tension between head coach Chip Kelly and some of the higher-ups with the franchise.
