Kenny Hill looked like the heir apparent to Johnny Manziel when he broke onto the scene with some enormous games early in this college football season. Now, he is looking to take his talents elsewhere. Hill is interested in leaving Texas A&M via transfer.

According to ESPN, Hill has asked for his release from the Aggies and may be looking to play closer to home next season. He is from a suburb north of Dallas, and Texas Christian University is reportedly very high on his list of schools that he will consider.

After his early season success, Hill's parents tried to trademark the nickname "Trill," which Kenny adopted for himself. However, things cooled off as Texas A&M faded down the stretch, losing five of their final seven games. Hill eventually lost his job to freshman Kyle Allen.

Allen took over when Hill was suspended for a violation of team rules and athletic department policy, but the Aggies coaching staff indicates that Allen would have taken over even if Hill had not been suspended.

For the season, Hill completed 67 percent of passes and threw for 2,649 yards, 23 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Those are still good numbers, and Hill will likely be attractive to several schools.

If Hill transfers to TCU, he would have to sit out for a year, which could be perfect timing for the Horned Frogs. Star quarterback Trevone Boykin is expected to return for his senior season, which would leave him as the starter for the 2015 and Hill as the projected starter in 2016 when he is eligible to play.
