Floyd Mayweather Jr. was in the headlines this week for a lavish Instagram photo he shared of himself posing in front of a massive sports car collection, and a private jet. His rival Manny Pacquiao recently responded to the photo, but focused on the boxing ring instead.
“Floyd brags about his lifestyle and everything. I don’t care,” Pacquiao wrote on his own Instagram account. “I’m just waiting here for him to sign the contract! #fightpacquiao”

Since appearing on Showtime prior to Erislandy Lara’s December victory over “Money Team” fighter Ishe Smith, in which Mayweather called on Pacquiao to fight him on May 2, 2015, Mayweather hasn’t said much on the topic.
According to reports, Showtime and HBO are in discussions to co-promote the potential super fight like they did for Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson in 2002. Mayweather has fought on Showtime since 2013, winning the first four fights of a groundbreaking, revenue-sharing six-fight deal.
Pacquiao has been the more active pursuer of late, posting several photos and videos on Instagram related to Mayweather.
2 reasons I want the Mayweather fight. 1. My oldest son Jimuel. He asked me before my career is over to fight Floyd first. I don't want my son to think of me as a coward. 2. The Fans. It is what everyone wants. I am going to do everything in my power to make the fight happen. God Bless!! A photo posted by Manny Pacquiao (@emmanuelpacquiao) on Dec 12, 2014 at 5:10pm PST
He also posted about the super fight before New Year’s Eve, imploring him to ring in 2015 by giving boxing fans the bout they crave.
The ball will drop at midnight to usher in 2015. @FloydMayweather let's not drop the ball on fighting each other next year! #LetsMakeFistory
