Reports circulated on Monday, on this website included, that Notre Dame's Everett Golson has been weighing a potential transfer to LSU for 2015.

Everett Golson/LSU Transfer Rumors

However, the 22-year-old quarterback seemed to dump cold water on those rumors with a single cryptic tweet yesterday afternoon:

Golson entered this year as the Irish's starter after a redshirt 2013 season. Both he and Notre Dame started the season strong, but Golson struggled with turnovers throughout the back-end of the season. The nadir for Golson was the team's regular season finale against USC, when Coach Brian Kelly benched the junior mid-game. Golson then split snaps with freshman Malik Zaire in the team's Music City Bowl appearance versus LSU.

Golson has a year of graduate eligibility remaining, so he would be able to make any potential transfer decision without having to sit out a season.

LSU would make sense as a potential destination, given that the Tigers are entering the off-season with no clear cut starter. Sophomore Anthony Jennings and freshman Brandon Harris both struggled with their consistency in shared playing time this year.
