However, when a reporter mentioned that the Oregon Ducks, who will face Ohio State in the national championship, had lit up the Florida State Seminoles with a 59-20 final, Meyer struggled to hide his incredulity.

Now, it's entirely possible that Meyer knew going into this situation that Oregon had put on a dominant performance. Coaches have smart phones and/or underlings to keep them abreast and up-to-the-minute with these kinds of things. Perhaps this performance is a little bit of gamesmanship from the coach, damning the Ducks with praise, if you will.

Or Meyer genuinely hadn't heard the Rose Bowl's final yet, in which case he really does need to get to work on figuring out a way to stop Marcus Mariota at the rest of Oregon's high-powered offensive attack.
