The Philadelphia Phillies (24-26) and Boston Red Sox (31-20) will open up their series at Fenway Park with a Monday night matchup. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET and can be seen live on NESN in Boston or live here.

Tyler Cloyd (1-0), a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, will make his Fenway Park debut for the Phillies. Cloyd will make his ninth career major league start and currently holds a 2.70 ERA.

He will hope for better run support from his offense as he continues to fill in for the injured Roy Halladay. Cloyd grew up a Red Sox fan though he was born and raised in Nebraska and has never seen a game at Fenway.

"To go there and actually be able to pitch, it's going to be fun," he told the team's official website. "I'm definitely looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll go there and keep going with this success."

The right-hander was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday to make his second start of the season. He limited Miami to two runs and eight hits over seven innings in a 7-3 victory.

Despite his excitedment, Cloyd doesn't believe he'll have a problem focusing on the task at hand once he steps on the rubber.

"Every game, you've got to just cool your emotions and just go out and pitch," he said. "It's just another baseball game, just a different atmosphere."

The Red Sox were set to have Clay Buchholz on the mound. However, Buchholz will be skipped in the rotation because of irritation in the AC joint on his right shoulder.

"The doctors said I could throw and it wouldn't affect my delivery. It was my call," Buchholz said. "If it was September, I'd throw."

Instead, the Red Sox will turn to Alfredo Aceves (1-1), who hasn't made a start since April 23. During his last start, Aceves gave up eight runs and seven hits in 3 1/3 innings in a 13-0 loss to Oakland.
