Boxing fans have been waiting for a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather for over five years now.
The much-ballyhooed showdown has nearly taken place on numerous occasions, but negotiations always seem to fall through before the fight can be organized.

However, for the first time in their long-standing rivalry, it really seems like both fighters are committed to making this anticipated event finally happen. On New Year's Eve Manny Pacquiao tweeted out his New Year's resolution, and it's to finally fight Mayweather.

Pacquiao/Mayweather 2015: Will it Actually Happen?
Pacquiao's tweet comes a little over two weeks since Mayweather issued a similar challenge of his own.
"I would love to fight Manny Pacquiao. We tried to make the fight happen years ago," Mayweather told Showtime Sports. "We had problems with random blood and urine testing. Like I said I just want to be on an even playing field. Now he’s in a very, very tight situation — he lost to [Juan Manuel] Marquez, he’s lost to [Timothy] Bradley. Pay-per-view numbers are down… extremely low, so he’s desperate.”
