San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York isn't just burning the bridge between the organization and ex-head coach Jim Harbaugh -- he's firebombing it.

On Sunday night Harbaugh and the Niners front office agreed to mutually part ways after four seasons together. On Tuesday Harbaugh was introduced in Ann Arbor as the new head of the Michigan Wolverines football program.

York, however, wasn't offering much in the way of well wishes to his former coach. Speaking in a lengthy interview with KNBR radio, York indicated that it was a clash of personalities and ideologies off-the-field that led to Harbaugh's departure, and not strict X's and O's.

When asked by host Brian Murphy why York was so content to let Harbaugh walk despite the team's three-straight NFC Championship Game appearance, York replied that "Winning isn’t the only thing matters. Winning with class is what matters."

When pressed to explain how Harbaugh wasn't winning in a classy manner, however, York quickly reverted to vague platitudes.

"I realize that fans – they want every single detail. I understand that you want every single detail," York said. "But I respect the conversation that I had with Jim behind closed doors. I respect the fact that there are many people involved about those discussions. And not just those people, but their families. I am not going to throw those people under the bus. I am not going to throw Jim under the bus. I respect him too much.

"I respect what he did for the San Francisco 49ers too much to appease the crowd today to talk about something that he I said was going to remain behind closed doors."
