Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a well-documented relationship with actress Olivia Munn, but that didn't stop a Minnesota newspaper from tweeting jokes about Rodgers' sexual orientation. The Minnesota Pioneer-Press tweeted a couple of jokes about the quarterback this week based on something he did during Sunday's game.

Rodgers suffered a recurrence of his calf injury during the first half of Green Bay's game against the Detroit LIons on Sunday. He eventually returned to the field and led Green Bay to victory, but before he went back onto the field, television cameras caught him tugging on the beard of a Lambeau Field communications technician.

This week, the newspaper took to Twitter to make a couple of jokes about Rodgers' sexual orientation after the beard incident. The first tweet, which has since been deleted, read "It's red and 9 inches long, and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tugs it for luck."

The publication later sent a second tweet with a photo of the man whose beard Rodgers tugged, making another subtle reference to Rodgers being a homosexual.

Beard is also a slang term describing a person that somebody uses to conceal their sexual orientation.

In the end, the Packers won the game and earned a first-round bye, meaning that they get a week to rest before hosting a playoff game in the second round.
