Another Premier League club has joined the fray in pursuit of Sergio Ramos. According to Metro (via Goal Transfer Talk), Manchester United are prepared to offer the Real Madrid center back a deal worth £135,000 a week.

Sergio Ramos' Agent in Contact With Arsenal for January Transfer

Unlike Arsenal's desires, the deal is said to be offered for the 2015 season instead of January.

Ramos, 28, still has two-plus years remaining on his contract with Los Blancos (June 2017). His hesitance to sign an extension is opening rampant speculation in regard to his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"We've had meetings to speak about the contract extension, but I'm not in a hurry," Ramos told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser (via Fox Sports). "I have two years left on my contract. This is something that doesn't bother me at all."

"It depends on the club, not on me," he added. "I have a good relationship with club president Florentino Perez and we often speak. Thanks to him, I achieved a dream, which was to join the best club in the world."

"I will be eternally thankful to him for that."

United fans will be eternally thankful to see Ramos donning the club's colors. Despite being a threat moving forward (33 goals), the Red Devils have conceded more goals than any of the clubs in the top four (19).

Unfortunately for Manchester's title hopes, Ramos' arrival, should it even transpire, will be too little too late.
