Danica, Boyfriend Crash At Coca-Cola 600

Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s budding relationship appears to again be being tested.

Stenhouse Jr. bumped his girlfriend’s vehicle on lap 319 of the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, sending her No. 10 Chevy directly into Brad Keselowski, who also struck the outside wall, according to USA Today. The fearless Patrick was already running a lap down following a restart and Stenhouse was inside of her when he went up the track slightly and nudged Patrick's car as they ran three wide.

While Keselowski’s vehicle was totaled, Patrick was able to continue coming in on the 29^th position. Stenhouse, meanwhile, finished 14^th, narrowly avoiding yet another major pileup a few laps later that took out both Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin and brought out a red flag.

Patrick could have easily been talking about the race or her relationship when she later told the media in a statement: “I felt like we were making real progress and starting to get… to a place that was really good, and had an accident, which is unfortunate because we were moving up. But nothing we can do about that now.”

NASCAR’s new power couple confirmed they were dating in early February, not long after Patrick announced she was divorcing from her husband of years, Paul Hospenthal.

 I have a boyfriend, his name is Richard," she told Associated Press back then. “I think I am just finally excited to tell someone about this."
