Tim Duncan Divorce Update: Wife Hires Same Attorney Tony Parker Used in Eva Longoria Divorce

Tim Duncan’s soon-to-be ex-wife is being represented by the same attorney that served as counsel for teammate Tony Parker during his high-profile split from actress Eva Longoria, according to the San Antonio Express.

Richard Orsinger wrote in an email “he had nothing to say” when contacted by the newspaper concerning the pending proceedings. Parker and Longoria salaciously split in 2010, amid accusations of adultery and repeated cheating.

Amy Duncan filed for divorce from her husband of more than 12-years on March 27, claiming their marriage has become “insupportable because of discord and conflict.” The Express also reported she moved out of the family home several weeks ago and Duncan has since petitioned the court requesting that the date for discovery be amended until 30-days after the Spurs’ playoff run ends.

The newspaper has also since reported that Duncan has had concerns about his marriage for months now and as far back as a year ago hired a private investigator to tail his wife and monitor her actions.

As part of her filing, Duncan lead attorney Sue M. Hall imitated the ten-time All-NBA forward plans to strongly enforce a pre-nuptial agreement the couple signed at the time of their union, shortly after Duncan was tabbed as the top-pick in the 1997 NBA draft. Duncan has also asked the court to confirm that he owns property that is separate from the martial estate.

The couple has two small children and Duncan has indicated he suspects that he and his soon-to-be ex will be able to arrive at a financial support agreement for them. Just last year, Duncan inked a 3-year, $36 million extension with the team.

All the discord has done little to slow down the 37-year-old Duncan, nor his high-flying Spurs teammates. San Antonio leads Memphis 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals and appear to be a lock in getting a step closer to their first NBA crown since 2007.

Tim and Amy Duncan were college sweethearts at Wake Forest University, where he was a star on the basketball team and she was a cheerleader.
