Jim Harbaugh was unveiled as the University of Michigan's 20th football coach at an introductory press conference on Tuesday afternoon, but for one PGA golfer, the event was seven months in the making.

Michigan Lands Their Man

You may recall that back in May, when the NFL season was still in the dog days of its off-season, the Cleveland Browns quietly began testing the waters for a trade with the 49ers that would land them Jim Harbaugh.

No deal was ever made and 49ers CEO Jed York denied that Harbaugh was on the trading block, but the news story nevertheless exposed a rift between Harbaugh and the team's front office that would linger throughout the ensuing season, culminating with the two mutually agreeing to part ways on Sunday after four seasons.

PGA golfer Lee Westwood now comes out looking like a modern day Nostradamus. When the Harbaugh-to-Cleveland news reports were first trickling out, he dismissed those rumors and offered one (ultimately accurate) prediction of his own.

If Westwood truly has the gift of clairvoyance, perhaps Harbaugh should add him to his recruiting staff, to sniff out which high school blue chippers will pan out and which won't.
