Josh Gordon is in trouble again, this time for violating team rules, and it may be the final straw that leads to his release from the Cleveland Browns. The wide receiver has undeniable talent, but many in the organization are growing tired of his irresponsible actions.

Eagles To Release Shady McCoy?

The Browns have indicated that they are unhappy with Gordon's work ethic and professionalism, and they may consider releasing the wideout. According to Pro Football Talk, head coach Mike Pettine thinks things are at the breaking point.

"Clearly a disappointing end to the year for him. At some point you get tired of using the word potential," said Pettine. "This offseason for Josh Gordon puts him squarely at a crossroads with us. We want him here, but want him accountable."

Russell Wilson Dating Snow Phat?

So where might Gordon end up if the Browns release him? Here are a few teams that might be interested:

The New England Patriots: Brandon LaFell played well this year, but he is no Josh Gordon. Imagine if Tom Brady had Gronk at tight end, Edelman in the slot, and Gordon out wide. Who is stopping that offense? And the Patriots have a history of taking on reclamation projects and getting great production from them, including Corey Dillon and Randy Moss.

The Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton basically only had Greg Olsen and incredibly raw rookie Kelvin Benjamin to throw to, and the Panthers still managed to make the playoffs. By adding Gordon, Newton would have an elite weapon and be a strong candidate to break the 4,000 yard barrier again.

The Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings have a young quarterback with too few weapons around him and a decent running game. Why not take a flier on Gordon on a short contract to help Teddy Bridgewater develop? They can always cut him if he proves to be a problem in the locker room.
