There was no love lost between Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Cincinnati Bengals safety Reggie Nelson during the post-game handshake Sunday night.

Tomlin and Evans could be seen exchanged words in a failry heated fashion. At one point Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis actually sprinted toward the two to pull Nelson away.

Prior to the confrontation, Nelson had knocked Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell out of the game with a low hit to his knee. It was a hard-nosed play, but strictly speaking not a 'dirty' one.

Coach Tomlin denied that the hit on Bell was what sparked their minor melee.

"I guess a teammate told him I said something regarding him," Tomlin said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "That's untrue. Ask him. I have a lot of respect for Reggie Nelson. He's a good player."

Nelson declined to comment on the incident.

"That's between me and the next man," Nelson said. "If he wants to elaborate on it, he can. My (phone line is) open. James Harrison's got my line. If that's what y'all want to talk about, I ain't gonna talk about it."
