At least Rory McIlroy is able to laugh about his break-up.

The world's number-one ranked golfer was on hand to support his favorite football club Ulster in a match against Connacht on Friday.

Life After Rory Suits Wozniacki

McIlroy was speaking with a BBC sideline reporter about his Christmas holiday, saying he was enjoying his leisure time and "having a few drinks" after a long season on the links. Just then the stadium PA system began playing Neil Diamond's hit song "Sweet Caroline."

McIlroy famously dated tennis star Caroline Wozniacki for three years, but shockingly called off their engagement days after the wedding invitations had gone out in the mail. McIlroy later said that he made his decision because he "realize[d] that I wasn't ready for all that marriage entails."

McIlroy was a good sport about the musical cue, but his quiet, sheepish sigh of "oh dear" shows he was at least a little flustered.

If McIlroy has any second thoughts about breaking off his impending nuptials, his golf game doesn't show it. The 25-year-old won the Open Championship, Bridgestone, and PGA Championship in succession this past summer.
