Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving, and it is always fantastic to see somebody that truly understands that. The Carolina Panthers have an important game on Sunday, but one of their assistant coaches still found the time to save Christmas for a family.

Lynch's Lewd Gesture Costs Him

According to Fox Sports, Panthers defensive line coach Eric Washington stepped up to help a family after seeing their unfortunate plight on the news. Crystal Davis is a single mother with five children, and somebody broke into her home and stole all of their presents from under the tree.

The story made the news, and Washington and his family decided to help out Davis and her children. While he was at practice on Christmas Eve, Washington's wife Amy and Sister Angela went out and shopped for gifts to replace the ones that had been stolen.

"We are just so thrilled to be able to share the holiday with Ms. Davis and her family," said Amy Washington. "We think every child should wake up and have a smile on Christmas morning."

Davis was elated that she was still able to experience the joy of watching her children open presents on Christmas morning.

"This has turned out to be an awesome Christmas," Davis said. "I think its the best one yet."
