The New York Jets have been one of the worst teams in the league this season, and embattled quarterback Geno Smith thinks he will be around to help the team return to glory. Many in the media have argued that the organization should clean house, and head coach Rex Ryan will almost certainly lose his job after the season ends.

According to ESPN, Smith thinks that he will be part of the solution for the team. "I see myself being the quarterback here for a long time," said Smith. "I see myself helping this team turn things around. Obviously, I'm part of the reason why we're in this position, so I'd love to be part of the solution."

Smith lost his job earlier in the year to Michael Vick, although he eventually regained the starting role. Many think that he is part of the problem, and the fans have actively rooted for the team to move in a different direction.

Smith has developed a reputation as one of the most turnover-prone quarterbacks in the entire NFL. Some have argued that it is a good thing that Smith regained the starting job because it actually helped the Jets lose games, thus improving their draft position.

The team will have a top-six pick in next year's draft, and they could use the pick on a quarterback. Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston are both candidates to be drafted very high in the first round. In fact, both may be off the board by the sixth pick, which may encourage the Jets (or another team) to trade up to the top two or three.
