Rapper "Tim Dog" Sought For Faking Own Death, Avoid Bills

A Mississippi prosecutor has obtained an arrest warrant for a former rap artist initially thought to have died back in February.

According to The New York Daily News, prosecutor Steven Jubera now believes Timothy Blair, AKA “Tim Dog,” may have faked his diabetes caused death to get around paying off debts some estimate to be as high as $2 million.

Blair, made famous by his yesteryear hit “F$$ck Compton,” was thought to have died from diabetes-related complications back on Feb. 14, until Esther Pilgrim stepped forward to claim she thought he may have faked his demise to get around repaying her court-ordered payments of $19,000 for a business scam he allegedly perpetrated on her.

According to The News, Blair was ordered to make restitution in 2010 following a grand larceny conviction. Pilgrim told The News she also suspects that he swindled millions more in ill-gotten profits from other unsuspecting victims, all of whom invested in an album he never planned to record.

Music producer and project collaborator Cedric "Ced Gee" Miller also told local radio TV station WREG that he has doubts about Blair's death, and family members have been unable to show him a death certificate.

The News also reported a private investigator later hired by WREG reporter Sabrina Hall has also been unable to find neither a death certificate nor any other official record of his death.

“I need proof, Jubera told WREG."I need a death certificate showing that he's dead, because as far as I'm concerned, he's alive."

Jubera added that none of Blair's obituaries had specifics about his death. "Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary," Jubera continued, adding that if Blair is found to be alive he will face jail time.
