Tuesday, December 23 is Jim Harbaugh's birthday. The University of Michigan wants Harbaugh to know they haven't forgotten that fact.

Is Harbaugh-to-UM a Done Deal?

Harbaugh played quarterback for four seasons at Michigan under legendary coach Bo Schembechler. The Wolverines have extended Harbaugh a massive 6-year, $48 million dollar contract offer in the hopes of luring him away from the NFL ranks to save their once-dominant, now-lagging football program. Harbaugh is said to be on the outs with the San Francisco 49ers front office and the team is 7-8 and out of playoff contention in the NFC.

Doug Marrone Is Not Interested in Michigan Job

On Monday ESPN's NFL insider/guru Adam Schefter became the latest notable pundit to predict a reunion between the head coach and his alma mater.

"I don't know that there are going to be as many opportunities for him in the NFL, which may leave him with his best opportunity at the University of Michigan," Schefter said on SportsCenter, per MLive.com. "That seems to be building some momentum and support, in terms of swinging that way."
