The Toronto Raptors have a well-known relationship with Drake, but the hip-hop artist now might be upset with the franchise after their new logo rollout. The team is completely redesigning its logo and color scheme for next season, and the first pictures got released late last week.

The new logo is a far cry from a drastic change, and even the Brooklyn Nets noted the similarity to their own recently redesigned logo. According to The Globe and Mail, many fans, including Drake himself, were upset about the new reveal.

Apparently, Drake rarely feels the need to express his feelings in such a way, which speaks to how irritated he was by the way the team handled the situation. He is supposedly upset about not only the way that the team released the images and the color scheme.

Drake apparently wanted the team to swith their colors to black and gold. The team instead chose to stick with the same colors that they have always used, which are red, black, white, and silver. Drake had input on all of the discussions with the team, but they chose not to go along with his ideas.

"He wasn't overruled," said an MLSE source. "Overruled isn't the right word, because it's not like he had the final say."

Drake has been a boon to the franchise that gives them a high-profile celebrity fan, a better shot at luring free agents to town, and a better media presence. Those reasons and more are why the team wanted to make Drake part of the decision-making process, but it may have back-fired on them after they chose not to listen to his input.
