Once upon a time, Shaq was everywhere, starring in movies and putting out albums in addition to dominating on the court. This week on Inside the NBA, the big man showed he still has some of those old skills.

Nicki Minaj joined the Inside the NBA crew in the studio on Thursday night, and in honor of her appearance, the crew decided to have themselves a little freestyle rap battle featuring Kenny Smith, Grant Hill, Shaq, Minaj, and even Ernie Johnson.

Smith started things off before passing the mic to Grant Hill, who needed notes to get through his verse. He passed it off to Shaq, who changed the beat and then proposed to Minaj once his verse got going.

Washington Fans 'Cheating On Redskins?'

Minaj wasted no time in rejecting the proposal, which threw Shaq from his game a little bit. He eventually got back into it before the rest of the crew finished the song, but watching The Diesel pop the question was unquestionably the highlight of an entertaining performance.
