While Punk has been gone and has bashed the WWE publicly by telling his side of the story, Lee has remained in the company. Punk appeared on TSN's Off The Record and was asked about Lee remaining in the WWE despite the bad blood between the two sides.

"This is taken out of context," Punk said in the interview, which got heated and awkward at times. "I didn't mean to call anybody out, I simply told my story. I told the truth and I told people what happened to me. It wasn't to call anybody out. I'm a passionate guy who lost the passion to do his job and my intent wasn't to call anybody out. I've had plenty of conversations with my wife about her working there and if she wants to work there, more power to her. We have separate careers and we'll continue to have separate careers and we're stronger for that, for having an understanding and supporting each other."
